Lark Music is excited to announce a brand‑new partnership with the Gibson Garage London to offer 12 months of free Lark Music guitar insurance, giving customers even greater peace of mind when choosing their new guitar. For the next 12 months from February 2026, anyone purchasing a qualifying guitar in-store at Gibson’s flagship London location can, for the first time, leave the shop with instant protection.

Whether you’re gigging, travelling, or simply playing at home, the cover protects against accidental damage, loss and theft anywhere in the UK (subject to policy terms). New research from Lark Music ¹ shows that:

82% of guitar insurance claims occur while travelling or during everyday journeys. From train and car journeys to moving instruments to rehearsals, gigs and venues, most incidents happen when on the move.
Out-of-home insurance claims account for 85% of total claims costs – from accidental knocks and drops backstage, to theft on tour.

With incidents on short trips accounting for a large share of claims – the free insurance offer gives musicians protection for their guitar where it matters most – on the move.

Peace of mind for guitarists

With eligible guitars priced between £1,500 and £10,000, customers purchasing in‑store at Gibson Garage London can walk out knowing their new guitar is fully protected, with repair or replacement costs covered if the unexpected happens. You are free to choose your own preferred repairer, and the policy also covers the cost of hiring a similar guitar, helping you to keep playing while you wait.

Simple activation in-store

The offer simple is to take up and can be activated in minutes. Simply ask the Gibson staff when you’re ready to buy at checkout, and complete the quick Lark Music registration journey before you leave the store. Your free cover will start from the date of purchase and run for 12 months.

What’s covered:

Accidental damage, loss and theft cover anywhere in the UK

No excess on the covered guitar(s)

Lark Music pay over 95% of claims²

In the event of a claim your guitar(s) is covered for repair or replacement

Option to choose your own trusted repairer

Hire-instrument costs covered while your guitar is being repaired or replaced

Who’s eligible?

To qualify for 12 months of free cover at the Gibson Garage London:

Purchase a new guitar in-store at the Gibson Garage London with eligible guitars priced between £1,500 and £10,000
Make the purchase within the offer period (12 months from February 2026)
Complete the simple Lark Music online registration journey in-store

Located just off Oxford Street at 61–62 Eastcastle Street, Gibson Garage London is the iconic guitar brand’s first flagship store outside the US. Since opening in February 2024, the 4,500 sq. ft space has become a destination for players of all levels, showcasing more than 300 guitars across Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer. Visitors can enjoy hands‑on demos, a Custom Shop Made‑to‑Measure experience, live performances and artist meet-and-greets.
